Audra Almond-Harvey has more than a few epochs under their belt. In response to existential crises induced by loss, disabilities, and a pandemic, Audra fell back into the arms of their first love—storytelling by any means necessary. Ancestors from four to five continents converge on these soils to empower Audra as they craft myths for an uncertain future. Audra utilizes creative expression, design thinking, and strategic project management in every initiative they undertake.

Recently, Audra completed her first book, In Lieu of Dying I Wrote This Book, and debuted “Invisible Ink,” a one-person show based on her writings in the 2023 Kindling Arts Festival. Audra is an FY24 Metro Arts Thrive grantee and a Mosaic Fellowship 2024 Tenessee cohort member. Currently, they are in the studio working with Spooning Productions to record an audiobook for In Lieu of Dying

Audra has enthralled audiences as a public speaker, inspiring larger audiences and facilitating small groups. She is a keen matchmaker of collaborative partnerships. She has sparked progress for over 300 artists and nonprofits as a co-founder and Executive Director of abrasiveMedia while helping to foster the arts community in Nashville.

Audra recently began working on their next book, A Book of Hours for the End of Time

Audra is an enrolled member of the Natchitoches Tribe of Louisiana.
